In A New Light

Something happened to me today.

I've been plying the same route for a year to and fro work and my house and I thought everything is the same. Familiarity indeed breeds boredom. Soon after, I stopped enjoying the sights and just wish that I reach home or the office the soonest time.

This afternoon though was different. I left the house the same time. I did the routine. But at one intersection I saw this building in a different light. I did wonder if the driver approached a different way to get to the destination much faster. But when I looked around, it was the same road, the same intersection, the same buildings that am seeing.

The building provided the landscape a different ambiance. It has always been there, yes, but when I looked at it this afternoon, it was like being transported into a place where I've never been before.

I realized that if only I look around enough and in a different way every time, there are still many things to see and would appreciate life more.

It's true what enlightened people say, "it's a matter of perspective."

I have a new life.

I know what you mean. sometimes we just get so accostomed to the same thing that sometimes we miss out on things. it happens with people too. sometimes we can talk to someone every day and maybe it becomes the same chat, day after day. then, all of a sudden it hits you. hey, this person is special. it could be a word they say or a comment they make but all of a sudden, things seem new and fresh and you wonder why.
life can be dull and routine, but it can also be exciting and new if we just see things from a different perspective.

love you baby.

Enlightening, gives you time to pause and think. Where do you live?
