It's raining. I've been waiting for it, for days. Am sure a lot of people in Manila are. It's been soooooo hot the past few days and only a downpour can somehow put a break though temporarily to this.
I still love summer. The beach season. Vacation time. It's still one of my most anticipated times of the year.
But well people change, things change, everything changes. Now I welcome rain during summer. When I was younger though, the start of the rainy season made me sad. Thoughts of traffic, flooding, muddy streets, my shoes (and feet) getting wet--all these come to mind. The commute from my house to work will be extra difficult, in short, hassle, problems--all because of rain.
Thankfully circumstances are different now. My work is homebased so I don't have to think about the traffic jam of rush hour morning or afternoon that I need to contend with. I can just sleep through the rainy night and not worry about showing up late for work the next morning, drenched, makeup a disaster. Hahaha.
It's a time of celebration. My life is good.
