Doesn't know Tagalog? I don't believe it! My son is only half Filipino and he knows Tagalog AND Ilokano. I'm glad he is not ashamed of his background and is interested in learning about it.
We have here what we call "Salawikain" or Filipino proverbs:
* Ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika, daig pa ang hayop at malansang isda.
o He who does not love his native language is worse than a beast or a putrid fish.
* Ang hindi marunong tumingin sa pinanggalingan ay hindi makakarating sa paroroonan.
o He who does not look back where he came from will never get to his destination.
Kells, sino tong ANONYMOUS na to? Tsaka di ko makita comments nya. hehe! Naku, member lang yan ng fans club mo I'm sure. ;) Chikaness sa chat!
