Well, it's not really a big event but a plan.
Stop speculating because it doesn't concern you anyway.
Hahahahahaha.
1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

I Saw The Sun
Finally, I was able to enjoy the sun today. Usually I wake up after lunch but today I got up just a little after 10am! And the weather is really nice. Sunny, bright and so inspiring.
I plan to shop today after finishing some assignments so I checked my credit card balance. Wooohooo, there's plenty in there too. Just how lucky can a woman get? Hahahahaha.

Am So Excited!
Almost three weeks after typhoon Ondoy turned my life around, I was finally able to hire people to clean my house. A day is not enough though so they'll be back this Sunday to finish the job.
While the cleaning ladies were busy disinfecting and polishing my room, I went out for coffee with a friend and talked about anything from the recent "flood and mud" experience to latest gadgets to bags!
Since the start of this month, things have been happening so fast, for the better of course. Things are finally falling into place after more than two years of waiting. I will discuss these "things" later.
Anyway, what am so excited about is shopping which I hope I can do this weekend. Okay, what are included in the list? Hmmmm...netbook, shoes, clothes, shoes, hdd, shoes... hahahaha. Next month, it will be all about BAGS (waiting for somebody from the US to bring it in)!!!!!
Am just excited. That's all!

Perfect Timing
I just finished boiling rice and heating corned beef when I ran out of LPG. After 4 months and 18 days, I needed to replace my 15-kg Shellane. Last time I paid P630 for it, now, since gas prices have significantly gone down, I only paid P480. Call me odd but I feel some kind of fulfillment being able to pay for something, like all my other bills. Anyway, I was thankful that am done cooking lunch before it happened. I needed to wait an hour before the delivery guy arrived. Whew!!!
I may go out tomorrow. I need a breath of fresh air. Hahahaha. I need to eat out, go to the grocery and replenish my yogurt supply. Aaaargh. I want to buy fruits and vegetables too and ingredients for pesto. I guess it's time I treat myself.

August Weekend
I woke up with a headache today but that wouldn't make me postpone my trip to the mall. I need to buy new contacts and shop a little too for things in the house. I also miss KFC and would like to try their new pasta dishes. Yummy.
Tomorrow, am meeting my friends for lunch at Gateway. Last time we met we had lunch at Teriyaki Boy. We haven't planned which resto this time but we'll meet at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. I love that place. Good coffee, nice ambiance and tea is great as well.
This month's a good one. So many things have happened and most of it (if not all) are favorable. Looking forward to the ber months.

Can't Stop Thinking About
...my red pair of wedge. I took it out from my shoe room, tried it on and alas, it's b-r-o-k-e-n. I feel like crying. I haven't worn the pair for more than 3 times. What the hell happened? Must be the Manila heat. Need to get it fixed. faaaast
...my JNY eyeglasses. It's b-r-o-k-e-n. Minor. I need to visit my eye doctor anyway. It's time for a new pair of contacts.
...my PDA. It's not broken but I don't really have a use for it. Why don't I just give it to my mom. Hmmmm
...my friend's digicam. Geez the smile shutter. It's sooooooo for me. I want.
...4 pairs of boots. Too hot to wear them in Manila.
...getting a massage. My work is stressful. I have a complicated life. Ok, am just making up valid reasons to get one. I have a shiatsu massager at home. I can start with that. Yessssss.
...my elliptical machine. I should be using more of it. Maybe I can also borrow my brother's ab machine (cos he seem to get enough exercise playing golf and shooting) and he doesn't really have a need for it anyway (this is just my guess). Hahaha
...the leaking faucet. I will fix it soon.
...Pan de Manila pandesal (small, 3 pesos each). I bought 5 two days ago and I haven't finished it. Maybe Magnolia and Ching Ching can help.
...Gardenia California Raisin bread. I bought it because Magnolia loves it. Now she can have Alpo and Gardenia alternately.
...pasta sauces and spaghetti. It's been sitting still on my cupboard for a month. I can't wait to have a pasta festival again.
...my eight-volume The Delia Collection. I've tried the Marinated Pork with Coriander (vol. 6) and Mozzarella in Carrozza (vol. 5). I wish I can try more recipes and maybe get a higher place in the cooking contest.

...what to prepare for lunch or dinner. I cook for two (myself and Magnolia). Am trying on a new diet as well (I need to lose 10 pounds, more on this later).
I know, I know. There are more important things to think about. Like, my two new websites (should be up and running this week), the bills, the mortgage, etc etc.

Major Makeover
I seriously need one. No no, I don't mean makeup, hairstyle, clothes. I have plenty of those. Although I want a new set of makeup, I don't really have a need for it cos I seldom go out anyway.
I want a makeover of bigger things, like my house, my things, my life in general.
My work is ok. Am earning enough to pay for the mortgage and utilities. I don't have a car to maintain, that's a good thing.
My family is great. Our relationship is in perfect harmony.
My friends are true, I couldn't ask for more.
And my lovelife, yes, it's amazing.
So what do I need the makeover for.
Maybe a little shakeup can do a lot. How about another job? Relocation? Travel a little? Buy something for the house or a new luggage perhaps.
Anything.

August Countdown
This month is special not only because it's my birth month (ahem) but because I have resolved to accomplish "things".
So the countdown goes...
...to having an "organized" online life. Since my social life is practically "non-existent" for the past few months, I'll use the little free time that I have organizing my online profiles. I got a "wakeup call" when an online friend left a message and told me to "prune" the comments there. Geez. I haven't visited that site for a looooooong time. Now that I have a broadband connection (oh well, so far GLOBELINES SUCK, BIG TIME!!!) if ever it fulfills its promise of faster connection (duh it's on dial-up mode now) then this is achievable.
...to organizing my closet. My shoe rack is pristine. There's not a pair there that I don't use so am proud to tell the world that I have accomplished something. But my closet is a different story. I long for a walk-in closet and I got that wish, albeit briefly, early this year. But my brother and his family moved in to my parents' house a few months back so I had to give it up (waaaaaaaah!). It was so harrrrrrd for me to do that but well I am a considerate person and this "move" is not a permanent thing anyway. So now, am not living in a suitcase but in plastic containers! My clothes and other important stuffs were randomly placed in round containers that my mother collected through the years. And she's nagging me to look through them and give away stuffs that I don't want to wear anymore. Ok, Nay, I'll check it out.
...to an out of town getaway. This is something that I look forward to every weekend. My Kuya will usually announce that the we (with my other siblings, all boys!) are going to our parents' farm. Most of the time, am the only one who readily says "of course, am IN" so we'd end up going with extended family members instead, i.e., aunts, uncles. Life is good this way.
...to an out of the country trip once a year. Last year, it was Singapore. This year, well that I have to tell you later on.
...to a new computer. My old reliable desktop is four years old but it's in good running condition (thanks to my cuz and bro for setting it up). I just want a faster one, a notebook, to add to my network. I already got a digicam and celphone. Yes, a notebook, definitely!
...to new things. I want things to happen soon. I will update you when it happens. I don't want to preempt things.
...of course, to my BIRTHDAY! Yessssssssssssssssss. As usual, my brothers will take care of the food and the drinks and the funny stories. Bonding time! Every year, my love for them grows wider and bigger and higher, they never fail to amaze me you know. The boys, as I call the three of them, are always there for me. Well, we are there for one another. My parents have given me a house, so I can't ask for anything more. =))
...to the friend who will greet me first. The early greeter gets a token. My high school friends know about this. Enough said.
I am blessed. No gifts needed for this birthday. I have enough. Seriously! :P

Oooops, I Did It Again!
I am having dinner and watching the American Idol when a friend texted to invite me (guess!!!)-- to dinner. It would have been nice to cap a workweek catching up with your social life but I've already set my mind in going to work and having a relaxing weekend after. So I immediately declined.
I have this affliction actually. I get kinda SJish and stick to schedule. This has been going on for as far back as I can remember. I never liked unannounced guests. And though I love parties at home, if you're not invited, please don't come. And I mean it.
Am not being a snob here. I just don't like the intrusion. I can choose who gets in my social circle, right? And anybody is free to do the same. If you ask me to get lost, then I will make your life easy by really getting out of your life. Be careful what you wish for because you may just get it. Hahahahaha.
Once my friend asked me to accompany her to church. But since she didn't "secure" a schedule earlier, I blurted: "Sorry but that is not in my schedule."
Now, she knows better. She would ask early on if I am available for coffee, for shopping, for what-have-you.
But in every rule, there is an exception. If you are treating me to a shopping spree, then "AM AVAILABLE!"
Life is good!
