Here I am blogging again after a long time. A day or two away from the net seems an eternity anyway and it felt that I've been in hibernation for years! I just thought that am a few months away from October, a magical time for me since 2007, since I went to Boracay with my baby!
Things were great since then. Every October since, I've been traveling and surprises never end. The next year, I went back to Boracay and had a blast again although I was always wishing that friends and my baby could join in the fun.
The year after that, it's Iloilo and Guimaras. Wow! That was such an amazing trip. I've met really nice people, tasted fabulous food and even sneaked out from a busy press tour to meet with my friend, Z, who was billeted in a different hotel. Hahahaha. I learned that people somewhere out there remained nice and honest. The cab driver even attempted to give back a few pesos as change. What a pleasant surprise, right!
Last year was surreal! Again, my baby and I went on a trip. To Kota Kinabalu! We stayed in a five-star hotel on a golf package. Haahaha. I've never tried golf but my brother was generous enough to transfer his golf prize! And so, we didn't play golf but we sure had a good time. I've also tried AirAsia's service and I would have to say, that was one of the smoothest flights ever, comparable to SIA, I would say. No flowing white wine though! Hahahaha. It's a budget airline, what I do expect huh?
So I can't help but dream about this year's October. Morocco is an enticing thought but then this is a part of my travel life that I can't really predict, even a tinge. As always, I'll just sit and wait for the pleasant gift!

Unpacking Packing Unpacking
Am just starting to unpack. It's been a week. Soon after doing the laundry, I need to pack again for another out of town trip. Am simply enjoying my mobile life. Life is good.

Delsey Means Travel
For a few nights in a row, I've been canvasing for airfares and accommodation for my SEA Tour. My brother and his wife want to go to Macau and HK and so I suggested that we travel together (the more, the merrier). Now that I have an idea how much will it cost, I also invited my friends to join. One friend can't join cos she already booked for HK-Disneyland trip, the other one just recently traveled to Bkk-Malaysia-Singapore, one friend I may meet in Bkk for dinner if we have the same travel date.
Anyway, I was surfing for luggage and I really liked this pink floral piece I saw on ebay. I then thought about the Delsey Helium Lite I purchased a year or two ago which I haven't used yet. They are discontinuing this style and it's already on sale for $105.15. It's a 29" Expandable Suiter Trolley (in black). I then checked on my Delsey and inspected it from all angles. Geez I didn't realize till then that it's a very nice piece.
Here are the specs:
Lightweight.
Lightweight fiberglass graphite frame. Same material used in the construction of golf clubs and tennis rackets.
Made of durable 1800 Polyester with EVA foam backing.
Trolley expands up to 2.5 inches which allows additional packing space if needed.

August Countdown
This month is special not only because it's my birth month (ahem) but because I have resolved to accomplish "things".
So the countdown goes...
...to having an "organized" online life. Since my social life is practically "non-existent" for the past few months, I'll use the little free time that I have organizing my online profiles. I got a "wakeup call" when an online friend left a message and told me to "prune" the comments there. Geez. I haven't visited that site for a looooooong time. Now that I have a broadband connection (oh well, so far GLOBELINES SUCK, BIG TIME!!!) if ever it fulfills its promise of faster connection (duh it's on dial-up mode now) then this is achievable.
...to organizing my closet. My shoe rack is pristine. There's not a pair there that I don't use so am proud to tell the world that I have accomplished something. But my closet is a different story. I long for a walk-in closet and I got that wish, albeit briefly, early this year. But my brother and his family moved in to my parents' house a few months back so I had to give it up (waaaaaaaah!). It was so harrrrrrd for me to do that but well I am a considerate person and this "move" is not a permanent thing anyway. So now, am not living in a suitcase but in plastic containers! My clothes and other important stuffs were randomly placed in round containers that my mother collected through the years. And she's nagging me to look through them and give away stuffs that I don't want to wear anymore. Ok, Nay, I'll check it out.
...to an out of town getaway. This is something that I look forward to every weekend. My Kuya will usually announce that the we (with my other siblings, all boys!) are going to our parents' farm. Most of the time, am the only one who readily says "of course, am IN" so we'd end up going with extended family members instead, i.e., aunts, uncles. Life is good this way.
...to an out of the country trip once a year. Last year, it was Singapore. This year, well that I have to tell you later on.
...to a new computer. My old reliable desktop is four years old but it's in good running condition (thanks to my cuz and bro for setting it up). I just want a faster one, a notebook, to add to my network. I already got a digicam and celphone. Yes, a notebook, definitely!
...to new things. I want things to happen soon. I will update you when it happens. I don't want to preempt things.
...of course, to my BIRTHDAY! Yessssssssssssssssss. As usual, my brothers will take care of the food and the drinks and the funny stories. Bonding time! Every year, my love for them grows wider and bigger and higher, they never fail to amaze me you know. The boys, as I call the three of them, are always there for me. Well, we are there for one another. My parents have given me a house, so I can't ask for anything more. =))
...to the friend who will greet me first. The early greeter gets a token. My high school friends know about this. Enough said.
I am blessed. No gifts needed for this birthday. I have enough. Seriously! :P
